WITHOUT GOD, THE WORLD IS HELL
On Sunday, March 15th, 2020, his Eminence, the Bishop of Corfu, Paxoi and Diapontian Islands, Mr. Nektarios did the Divine Liturgy in the Holy Church of the Virgin Mary of the Foreigners in Corfu town.
In his address to the faithful, Mr. Nektarios stressed the need for faith that will lead us to transcend all that life brings before us. The Body and Blood of Christ heal our soul and body from the decay of sin. Christ is love. Love does not bother us. Man without Christ builds a world that becomes hell and suffering. Sickness and death cannot be overcome, no matter how many steps we take. They can inhibit wear and tear, but the meaning of life lies in the quality of eternity. He is in communion with God. Faith in the Virgin Mary, in our saints, especially in St. Spyridon, is our spiritual weapon. Let us pray, let us have courage, let us have faith, let us have love in the revelatory days that require repentance, patience and trust in God. Let us care through prayer for the whole world and let us pray for those who are leaving life everywhere on earth.
At the end of the Divine Liturgy, the Bishop of Corfu performed the special prayer appointed by the Holy Synod to protect us from CoVid-19.
