These people have been blessed on a daily basis by our Lady Theotokos
On Saturday, August 18, 2018, his Eminence, the Bishop of Corfu, Paxoi and Diapontian Islands, Mr. Nektarios did the Divine Liturgy in the historical Holy Church of Virgin Mary of the roads in the northern Corfu.
In his speech, the Bishop of Corfu characterised the Above All Saints Theotokos as an inexplicable miracle.
The life of God’s mother, her Dormition and her departure to the skies was an inexplicable miracle. The reason behind all these, is the salvation of the human beings, the fulfillment of God’s plan.
Moreover, his Eminence underlined that our own existence in this world is a miracle. On the contrary, modern humans tend to be self-sufficient from God and thus, they are distanced from the Divine Grace.
Our Lord, continued the Bishop of Corfu, does not allow his creature to be destroyed.
With God’s Grace we observe many young people going to the Churches and pray, answering to all those who aim at the spiritual decline of the Christians and the eradication of faith from their hearts.
These people have been blessed and still is blessed on a daily basis, by the Lady Theotokos, as long as they remain stable on what our faith is and the traditions of the Greek Nation.
In his closing, Mr. Nektarios wish that our Virgin Mary will cover, strengthen and blesses our homeland.
By the end of the Divine Liturgy, the Bishop of Corfu did the Sanctification Service in the renovated Temple of the Holy Monastery of Virgin Mary of the roads.
