THE MINISTER OF SHIPPING TO THE METROPOLITAN OF CORFU

The Minister of Shipping Mr. Plakiotakis, accompanied by the Chief of the Coast Guard Mr. Kliaris and the Corfu MP Mr. Stefanos Gikas visited on the afternoon of Thursday, August 27, 2020 His Eminence the Bishop of Corfu, Paxoi and Diapontian Islands, Mr. Nektarios in  the Bishop’s house in Mouragia.

Mr. Nektarios had an extensive discussion with the Minister about the circumstances we are going through and the need for the Greek state to do what it can to alleviate the consequences of the coronavirus, which did not leave Corfu untouched. On his part, the Minister stressed that with the support of the Church, which is always a given, but especially during the years of crisis, our country will be able to overcome new difficulties.
