The Holy Metropolis of Corfu donates a cardiac monitor to the Hospital of Corfu
In the morning of Wednesday, October 25th, 2017, his Eminence,the Bishop of Corfu, Paxoi and Diapontian Islands mr.Nektarios went to the Prefectural Hospital of Corfu, where he donated a cardiac monitor as a gift from our local Church. The medical needs of Corfu are enormous.
The Bishop talked with the Administrator of the Hospital, mr. Phoebos Kakavitsas and stressed out that the Holy Metropolis is always next to the people who are in need. This is the mission of our local Church, to worship the Triadic God and assist every human being in whom Christ is reflected.
Moreover, mr. Nektarios discussed with the Administration the matter of building a Church in the Hospital. Many people need this place in the Hospital in order to pray and participate in the Divine Services to get courage. For this reason, in this meeting participated mr. Sofronios Mavronas, who has given a great amount of money to build this church.
Finally, the Bishop congratuled mr. Kakavitsas for their excellent cooperation which proves that through love and cooperation, human beings are assisted.
