THE BISHOP OF CORFU VISITS THE SECONDARY EDUCATION DEPARTMENT OF CORFU

A Blessing was performed at the offices of the Directorate of Secondary Education of the Prefecture of Corfu, at the invitation of the new director Ms. Charilaos Alamanos, His Eminence the  Bishop of Corfu, Paxos and the Diapontian Islands Mr. Nektarios on September 1, 2020.

The service was attended by the Regional Director of Education of the Ionian Islands Mr. Petros Angelopoulos and the Coordinator of the Educational Project Mr. Andreas Kalogeras, as well as the employees of the Directorate.

Mr. Nektarios expressed his joy for the invitation, for the fact of the cooperation of the Educational community and the local Church and urged the principals and teachers to work as the salt of the earth, to give the children the education that becomes light and life. In this way, faith can help, as the tradition of our homeland shows.
His Eminence was thanked on behalf of the educational community by the Regional Director of Education and the new head of Secondary Education.
