The Bishop of Corfu Nektarios at an event in memory of the Corfiots who died during the Turkish invasion of Cyprus in 1974.

His Eminence the Bishop of Corfu and Paxos Mr. Nektarios honored with his presence, the fallen Corfiots during the Turkish invasion of Cyprus in 1974, in an event of remembrance and honor, which took place in the city of Corfu. The event was organized by the Cultural and Environmental Association of the Windmill and the Association of Cypriots of Corfu, “O Evagoras”. The event was attended by the state and military authorities of the island, as well as the Ambassador of the Republic of Cyprus to Greece Mr. Kyriakos A. Kenevezos. Mr. Alexandros Gennimatas, Deputy Director of the Diplomatic Office of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Nikos Dendias, addressed a greeting.
