THE BISHOP OF CORFU IN THE ACADEMY OF ATHENS

On Wednesday afternoon, January 22, 2020, his Eminence, the Bishop of Corfu, Paxoi and Diapontian Islands, Mr. Nektarios was present in an event that took place in the Academy of Athens. A book of the Ionian University Professor, Mrs. Eleni Angelomati- Tsougkaraki was presented. The book is about the great Corfiot intellectual, Evgenios Voulgaris, with the following title “Evgenios Voulgaris – the homouniversalis of the New Hellenism”, published by the Research Centre of the Medieval and New Hellenism of the Academy of Athens and the Holy Monastery of Vatopedi. The book was published on the occasion of 300 years since Evgenios Voulgaris’ birth (1716-2016).
