The Basmata (re-entrance of the relic in its place) of Saint Spyridon

On Tuesday afternoon, April 10, 2018, the Basmata (re-entrance of the relic in its place) of Saint Spyridon took place in the his Church.

In the short speech, his Eminence, the Bishop of Corfu, Paxoi and Diapontian Islands, Mr. Nektarios encouraged the faithful to keep within their hearts the incessant Light of the Resurrection, through St. Spyridon’s embassies.

Moreover, Mr. Nektarios wished the embassies of Agios Spyridon to free our two soldiers, who are hostages of the Turkish authorities, in the prisons of Adrianople.
