Students of the Patriarchate of Serbia visit the Bishop of Corfu

On Wednesday, August 28, 2019, students and teachers of the Patriarchate of Serbia did their annual visit to his Eminence, the Bishop of Corfu, Paxoi and Diapontian Islands, Mr. Nektarios.

After welcoming the students and teachers to Corfu, Mr. Nektarios emphasized the two elements that link the Greek and the Serbian people. First we are bound by Orthodox faith and secondly by historical ties. Corfu in particular, not only during the World War I  was a mediator and not only hosted, but also treated, soldiers and civilians persecuted by the Central Powers.

Upon completion, His Eminence wished the Serbian students and teachers the grace of the Triune God to overshadow them in their lives.

It should be noted that the Holy Metropolis of Corfu, Paxos and Interpont islands has hosted Serbian students at its camps in Kassiopi.
