Lady Theotokos invites us to live God
On Thursday morning, November 21, 2019, his Eminence, the Bishop of Corfu, Paxoi and Diapontian Islands, Mr. Nektarios did the Divine Liturgy in the Church of our Lady’s Presentation to the Temple, in Kanakades of Corfu.
In his address to the faithful, Mr. Nektarios, inspired from the apostolic reading, described the elements of the Virgin in the Old Testament. Our Lady is the Tent of Martyrdom, which includes the ark of the Covenant, is the pitcher, is the rod of Aaron, is the golden censer. These sacred objects for the Jewish people, which God Himself commanded Moses to prepare, contain the symbols of divine presence as a gesture. The stone tablets that contain the Ten Commandments, the manna as the bread that feeds from heaven, the dry stick of Aaron that blossoms without human intervention, the charcoal that burns to the glory of God without breaking the altar, are the precepts of Christ, who is the One who gives the Ten Commandments and the Gospel, is the very bread from heaven that descends into eternal life for men, is carnally unmarried, giving the fruit of maternity to the Virgin Mary and all the spiritual uncleanness dried up thropini nature, becomes Himself anthrax leading human nature up to God.
All this thanks to the face of Theotokos, who enters the temple of Jerusalem on the day of the Passover, as a three-year-old devil, to establish himself, after the revelation of God to the high priest of Zachariah, to the Holy of Holies, to feed the Saints and to prepare by prayer to receive the supernatural mystery of the embodiment of the Son and Word of God in her bowels.
We owe a great deal of gratitude and thanks to the Blessed Virgin Mary because she opens the way for us to be able to participate in the sacrifice of the Son of God, to receive Him into us as she through the mysteries of the Church in our own temples, to expel us of nature and we clothe God, to live in heavenly and holy dimensions, as saints, who are friends and not servants of God.
In the dark times of sin and apostasy, Our Lady of God reveals the will of God who is our salvation and invites us, as we enter the temple of God, to find what we ask for in our lives and to enjoy unity and brotherhood in body of Christ!
