Holy Paraclesis for the students who take Panhellenic exams

In the Holy  Temple of the Saint and miracle worker Spyridon, a Holy Paraclesis was performed today, May 31, 2022, to support the candidate students of higher educational institutions of the country. At the sacred request, a number of pious students, parents and teachers, joined their prayers together with His Eminence the Bishop of Corfu, Paxos & Diapontian Islands Mr. Nektarios at his invitation. His Eminence read a special prayer composed for this purpose. With paternal reasons he strengthened the candidates, referring to the special relationship that Jesus Christ has with youth, who in His earthly life gave special importance to the young children who approached Him and Jesus Christ who is the light of the world according to His own statement, but also with the embassies of Saint Spyridon, this light continues to emit it even now inviting the youth to Him. His Excellency wished this light to the candidates on these days when they will be called to the exams, he wished them to enlighten them and to clear their minds. The life of all people is a struggle for success and prestige both in the spiritual life and in the material life. Always in these exams that man is called to give in his life, he has not only successes but also failures and you, my dear children, begin to taste the experience of exams in your life, which I wish you and I ask God for your success. But you should not be disappointed with any failures because St. John Chrysostom, referring to this issue, says that many times the apparent failure for us may be success in our lives “whether you succeed or not, you succeed in the unsuccessful” that means that in failure, God opens other doors.
His Eminence wished both the teachers to experience the satisfaction for the children who worked hard and the parents to be rewarded for their efforts for the support and anguish of their children. He then invited the regional director of the Ionian Islands, Mr. Petros Angelopoulos, representing all the teachers to address an informative speech to the students, who with paternal love from the position of teacher, wished and gave practical instructions to the students. At the end, His Eminence gave blessings to the students, talked to them and gave them a small treat.
