Commemorative prayer for the leaders of the Union of the Ionian Islands with Greece

On Sunday afternoon, 20 May 2018, the Bishop of Corfu, Paxoi and Diapontian Islands, Mr. Nektarios did a commemorative prayer and deposited a wreath at the tomb of the Bishop of Corfu, Athanasios Politis, a patron of the Union, which is in the Holy Trinity Church of Garitsa.

A memorial ceremony was also held at the tomb of the first Governor of Greece, Ioannis Kapodistrias, located in the Holy Monastery of Virgin Mary the Platytera. A wreath was also deposited by the Mayor Mr. Kostas Nikolouzos.
