Blasphemy against the Holy Spirit is the denial of the saving Divine Grace

On Sunday afternoon, May 27, 2018 a Panegyrical Episcopal Vesper took place in the celebrating church of the Holy Trinity in the Chronically Suffering People’s Foundation “The Platytera”, with his Eminence, the Bishop of Corfu, Paxoi and Diapontian Islands, Mr. Nektarios.

In his speech, his Eminence praised the importance of the overwhelming event of the Holy Spirit epidemic in the world, which is the birthday of our Holy Church. In the hymn, the Paraclete, the third person of the Holy Trinity, fell upon the heads of the disciples in the form of fire tongues, because according to the Fathers of our Church, the Holy Spirit is the expression of the Son and Word of God.

With the descendant’s descent, the Holy Apostles began to speak foreign tongues, praising the greatness of God. Language is the way of expressing all that man has in his heart and mind. But unfortunately, with the removal of man from his Creator, the mouth does not express what lies in the heart and in the mind but has words that deplore both Christ and his brothers. It is still lying, and so confusion is created.

On the contrary, the Bishop of Corfu continued, the communion with the Living God and the constant reference to Him honors man, making him a composite personality. In this way he learns first of all that he truly loves, humiliates himself, but also thinks. All our senses are given by the Lord. It is up to us if we use them to God’s Glory and the ministry of our brothers, or if we are imprisoned in our self-pity, which removes the Divine Grace. The blasphemy, which cannot be forgiven, is against the Holy Spirit, otherwise the denial of the saving Divine Grace.

In closing, Mr. Nektarios pleaded with the Triune God to rest live in the living soul the soul of his predecessor, Timothy, and the founder of CSP. ” The Platytera” called the believers to turn their eyes in the sky and to beg the Spirit of Truth to purify their souls, leading them to Christ’s perfecting.
