BISHOP OF CORFU, MR. NEKTARIOS: WE NEED THE LIGHT OF GOD

On the morning of Sunday, July 26, 2020, His Eminence the Bishop of Corfu, Paxos and the Diapontian Islands, Mr. Nektarios did the Divine Liturgy at the celebrating Holy Temple of Saint Paraskevi.

Mr. Nektarios, addressing the faithful, stressed that Saint Paraskevi was protected by the grace of God and became an apostle, as through her struggle to resist idolatry she enabled many to accept the faith of Christ. the miracles that the Saint did for the sake of faith are the manifestation of the search for the presence of Christ in our lives.

Those Christians who participate in the grace of God, see and feel the gifts of heaven. We need alienation from the same will and trust in God and His will. Only in this way will we be able to see the light of divinity, in an age of spiritual darkness, when we were oriented towards material goods and remained naked from the grace and enlightenment of God. So let us become seekers of this spiritual joy, imitating Saint Paraskevi.
