BISHOP OF CORFU, MR. NEKTARIOS: THE LIGHT OF BETHLEEM TO SCATTER THE DARKNESS OF DESPAIR

His Eminence, the Bishop of Corfu, Paxos and the Diapontian Islands, Mr. Nektarios, did the Divine Liturgy at the Metropolitan Church of the Most Holy Theotokos Spilaiotissa in Corfu on the morning of Friday, December 25, 2020, for the celebration of Christmas. The divine service was performed in compliance with the measures of protection of public health.

During the social service, the message of His Holiness to the clergy and the people of the local Church was read, while at the end Mr. Nektarios wished the coming year to be the beginning to overcome the great trials of the last period. The light of Bethlehem to scatter the darkness of mind and despair that characterize the life of humanity. He thanked the faithful who went to church, while at the end the traditional Corfiot carols were sung.
