On Saturday, April 11, 2020, Lazarus Saturday,his Eminence, the Bishop of Corfu, Paxoi and Diapontian Islands, Mr. Nektarios did the Divine Liturgy in the Holy Church of Saint Nikolaos de Vecchi. The church hosts part of the holy relic of Saint Lazarus. No people were allowed.

As the Divine Liturgy was broadcast on television and online, addressing those who attended, Mr. Nektarios pointed out messages of the great feast. Christ goes to Bethany and knows that the climate of Judah was hostile to him. But Christ defies all fear.

Christ resurrects his friend Lazarus. He talks to his sisters Martha and Maria about the resurrection of the dead. To overcome death. He is the resurrection and the life. Christ overcomes the fear of death. And this fear exists today in people.
