BISHOP OF CORFU, MR. NEKTARIOS: “LET’S PUT GOD FIRST IN OUR LIVES”
On the morning of Sunday, August 16, 2020, His Eminence the Bishop of Corfu, Paxos and the Diapontian Islands, Mr. Nektarios, did the Divine Liturgy at the Holy Temple of the Holy Three Martyrs of the Windmill. .
In his sermon to the faithful, Mr. Nektarios was motivated by the word of Christ to his disciples when they asked Him why they could not heal their new moon, emphasizing that because of their unbelief they could not make points.
This limited faith exists in our times, when the interest prevails, rationalism, utilitarianism, lack of moderation and we stopped invoking God. This was done in Corfu through Saint Spyridon, who prayed to God and God listened to him. Today we are called “science first”. But first we must put God and then everything else can be served. Atheist western humanism gave birth to this type of man, with the result that today we are reaping the fruits of sin. So we need repentance and a return to God to be able to face the trials of our lives.
