Bishop of Corfu, Mr. Nektarios: “Church is the guarantee of the high leveled behaviour of Greeks”
On Friday morning, March 22, 2019, the feast of the March 25th was held at the Kindergarten School of the Holy Metropolis of Corfu “ELENI BELLOU”.
In his greeting, his Eminence, the Bishop of Corfu, Paxoi and Diapontian Islands, Mr. Nektarios having thanked the parents for their trust to the local Church, congratulated the headmistress of the School, Mrs. Stavroula Sotiriou and the teachers of the school, expressing at the same time his great joy for the work made there, with love and affection for the little children.
Moreover, his Eminence mentioned the need to acquire and keep our identity and self-conscience as Greek Orthodox Christians, since the ones in power aim at taking this off from us, in order to lose our resistance, defence and our spiritual orientation. Church is the guarantee of the high leveled behaviour of the Greeks throughout the centureis.
In his closing, Mr. Nektarios wished that Christ to strengthen us and we thank both Him and our Lady Theotokos for granting us our freedom.
