Bishop of Corfu: Communicate lovingly with the priests, the Church and the fellow people!

Speaking to the church, Mr. Nektarios pointed out that Sunday St. Luke is dedicated by our Church to a divine law that Christ has formulated: the law of love. There are laws that govern human society, despite the abundance of which the harmony with which human beings had to live does not come about, since these laws are based on fear and are intended for those who do not believe in God. But there is the divine law: as you would like people to behave, so do you. This is a weighty law, in that it applies not only to the one who accepts it, but also to the one who proposes it. The Christian does not seek love from others, but offers it himself.The law of love is the supreme law in our lives. God loves love and he who wants to have God in him stays in love. As children look like parents, so are humans called to imitate God who is our Father and Creator. The Saint Nile the Ascetic emphasizes that he does not ask God to look to Him in His omnipotence and omnipotence, but to look to Him in love! And this requires overcoming ourselves: we are called to love those who hate us. As God exists for those who do not accept Him, do not trust Him, rises the sun for the righteous and the unjust, for those who want Him and for those who do not want Him, so we are called to love everyone. Love for enemies is not weakness, as some say. Love is power. By the grace of the Holy Spirit we defeat human laws, because my righteous law is there! We defeat the little ones the complexes, the selfishness and make love the sole purpose of our lives!
